Dr. James L. Lawson Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a general class amateur radio license and be attending school in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Preference is given to residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont who are majoring in communications, electronics, and related fields.
Mississippi Scholarship

Applicant must be under 30 years of age, have an amateur radio license, and be studying in Mississippi. Preference is given to Mississippi residents.
Fred R. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship
Description

Applicant must have at least a general class amateur radio license and be attending school in the FCC Fifth Call District (Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas). Preference is given to residents of Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Six Meter Club of Chicago Scholarship

Applicant must have an amateur radio license. Preference is given to residents of Illinois studying in the state. Award may be granted to an Indiana or Wisconsin applicant if not qualified Illinois applicant applies.
Chicago FM Club Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or within three months of citizenship and have at least a technician class amateur radio license. Preference is given to residents of Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin (FCC Ninth Call District).
ALA Research Training Fellowship

Applicant must be an M.D. completing clinical fellowship training in areas relevant to lung disease or a doctoral degree-holder seeking further training as a scientific investigator in a field relevant to the prevention and control of lung disease. Applicant must have completed clinical training and have research experience. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.
ALA Clinical Research Grant

Applicant must hold a faculty appointment at the instructor or assistant professor level and have completed at least two years of research training. Award is to support new investigators working on clinical problems relevant to lung disease. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.
ALA Lung Health Research Dissertation Grant

Applicant must be matriculating in a full-time doctoral program with an academic career focus. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.
ALA Career Investigator Award

Applicant must hold a junior faculty position, be making the transition from junior to mid-level faculty status, have less than nine years of faculty experience, and be working in a field relevant to the conquest of lung disease and the promotion of lung health. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.
ALA Dalsemer Research Scholar Award

Applicant must be a physician who has completed graduate training in pulmonary disease and is beginning a faculty track in a school of medicine. Award is to support research in interstitial lung disease. Preference is given to minority applicants and applicants interested in tobacco control research.
Florida Student Assistance Grant Program (FSAG)

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and Florida resident for a minimum of 12 months prior to the start of classes and be enrolled in an eligible undergraduate academic degree program. Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. FAFSA is required.
Tennessee Teaching Scholars

Applicant must be a Tennessee resident and United States citizen who is a college junior, senior, and post-baccalaureate student admitted to a teacher education program at an eligible Tennessee post-secondary institution. Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled full-time; graduate students at least half-time. Applicant may not be a licensed teacher or have received the scholarship while employed in a teaching position.
